Human Resources Assistant, Fulton, Missouri

I work as a part-time HR assistant at Walsworth – Fulton. I assist the HR Business Partner with projects and other day-to-day tasks like recruiting. Before this role, I also worked part-time in our prepress department where I made plates and imposed some of our magazines. I have been with Walsworth for almost two years now.

Something I enjoy about HR is that the day-to-day activities are always different. I think what I love most about my job is being able to learn more about HR in general. Another pretty cool thing is going to career fairs.

I came to Walsworth because my dad works as a pressman in the Fulton plant. It’s been really interesting learning about the world of printing and being able to finally understand what he was talking about all those years.

My personalized coffee mug would say: “It is what it is.”

What makes me want to come to work every day is my boss, Katie. I promise this isn’t a suck-up thing! I’ve really enjoyed getting to know her and I think it makes it a lot easier to work with someone you get along with.

A fun fact about me is that even though I’ve never considered myself a cat person, I adopted a two-year-old cat named Bella in January of 2023, and she’s changed my world. A nickname I have for her is ‘Miss Girl.’ I have a younger sister who’s 15 and two family dogs at my parents’ house.

I don’t have too many die-hard hobbies because I’m still finishing college, but I will say I enjoy reading. I also give softball pitching lessons on the side.

I am thankful for Walsworth because they have given me a multitude of opportunities and continue to create future opportunities for growth.

My favorite memory of working at Walsworth is either the service awards banquet or the Christmas party.
