Crystal Palmer
Administrative Assistant, Brookfield, Missouri
As the Administrative Assistant to the General Manager at Walsworth – Brookfield, I collect numbers from each department and put together and distribute daily and weekly reports. I do many things from entering charges that occur throughout the designing process of yearbooks to organizing appointments, meetings, anniversaries and retirement parties. There is never a dull moment in my position and the variety of my duties makes it so much more enjoyable.
This is my first job in the printing industry as I come from a long-time career in the medical field. I began in March of 2024, so I am looking forward to proudly wrapping up my first year soon!
I was looking for a job that would allow me to grow individually and encourage me to do so while cheering me on along the way. As a mother of four, I needed a job that is routine and reliable with all the bells and whistles (benefits) – I found all of this and more with Walsworth.
My personalized coffee mug would say: “Let all that I do be done with love & Dr. Pepper.”
Returning to a helpful work environment gives me the drive to come to work every day. My coworkers make me feel like an important part of the team and are very supportive.
A fun fact about me is I love to make and decorate cupcakes. When my kids were younger, we would have a birthday tradition where they would choose what design/theme they wanted on their cake, and I would do it for them. No matter how old they get now, they at least want me to make cupcakes for them.
I’ve been married to Josh, a third-generation farmer, for 17 years. I’m proud to be the mother of four amazing & handsome sons: Colton, 30; Nate, 22; Daniel, 16 and Ruger, 13. I am blessed with a one-year-old granddaughter, Willow Shea, from my oldest stepson. I have recently proudly gained the sweetest daughter-in-law, Landree, with the wedding of my second son which wrapped up our 2024 year.
We have two dogs: Oscar the Chiweenie and Blitz the Golden Retriever. We also cannot forget our boss of the house: Blu, a yellow long-haired cat. We also enjoy our three outside cats: Amber, Grey and Abbie.
All my activities and hobbies are geared around my kids’ activities and lives. I do whatever I can to cheer them on and support them in their goals. Whether it’s attending farmer appreciation banquets, putting on a wedding and reception, watching sporting events or witnessing academic events – I’m always there with a smile and a prayer. I also enjoy playing cards and board games when we’re in the mood to have a relaxing day at home.
