Charlotte Williams
At Walsworth, I’ve been a Disk Librarian, Microlab Operator, Disk Verification Operator, Desktop Operator, Desktop Trainer, Lead, Fonts and Graphics Specialist, Computer to Plate Operator, Premedia Operator, Embosser and Hotfoil Operator, Brausse Operator, Lasercut Operator, Quality Assurance Technician and Computer Support Specialist.
In my day-to-day work as a Computer Support Specialist, sometimes a new customer needs assistance in providing PDF files that meet our requirements for press. I assist by answering questions, instructing where needed, and by testing files.
I’ve worked in the printing industry for three decades.
I came to Walsworth almost by coincidence. I was serving Duane Dorrell and David Gordon coffee on the daily at Mom’s Restaurant in the early mornings, before I started my 9-5 job at the law office down the street. I guess they saw that I was a hard-working person who was intelligent as well. My stepdad was already a supervisor at Walsworth. If I had an interview, I don’t remember it! Lol
I think the coolest thing about my job is when you finally get that file in right. Some of my most fun jobs are helping other departments. We all know one another over the years.
If I had a personalized coffee mug at work, it would probably just be a picture of a sea turtle.
A fun fact about me is that I visit my dogs on my lunch break. Just a few minutes brightens their day and mine.
In my family, my adult kids make me proud every day. My dogs are Jack Russells and a Pomeranian of my parents, so they pretty much hang out rent-free.
My hobbies outside of work are travel, travel and more travel. I love seeing new things.
Walsworth has given me the ability to provide for my family over many years.
I give back to my community by contributing to the Community Chest and the Linn County Animal Shelter.
