Brittany Porter
Computer Support, Brookfield, Missouri
I assist Walsworth employees and customers with any technical issues and I teach schools how to use our programs properly. I have worked at Walsworth for five years.
I was interested in this role because I’ve always been pretty tech-savvy, so seemed like a good fit.
The coolest thing about my job is traveling to workshops, getting to interact with customers, teaching them how to use the programs and how to create fun stuff for their book.
My personalized coffee mug would say “Give a girl the right shoes and she can conquer the world.” – Marilyn Monroe
I want to come to work every day because loving what you do makes coming to work easy, especially when you have good co-workers! My mom, Michelle, has worked for this company for 20+ years. Some of her co-workers have watched me grow up, so it’s always felt like a little second family. I’m happy to be a part of something special!
A fun fact about me is I went to college for C.S.I. and also went to acting school. I have two handsome nephews who are the light of my life; Gunnar and Beau. I also have a 2-year-old Pit/Border Collie mix dog, Ginger.
My hobbies include going to live concerts! I love a good dance party with good company.
I give back to my community by attending local events, supporting local shops and donating blood. Even though I have a serious fear of needles, I make it work somehow!
Some of my favorite memories of working at Walsworth are from the holiday parties and work social events.
