Mitch Beuthin, Cross Media Programmer
Describe what you do at Walsworth.
I help with many day-to-day tasks in Traxion on both shifts. I manage five digital presses and short run finishing equipment. Some of the other tasks are variable data, digital printing, storefronts and digital editions.
Now, describe what you do like you are meeting someone at church or at a party.
I help with the setup and implementation of B2B storefronts for customers. I also help run three color digital presses and two black digital presses along with several pieces of short run finishing equipment. We also create digital editions for the customers.
How long have you worked here?
21 years
What brought you here?
I moved back to Ripon in May of 2000 and wanted to continue working in the printing industry.
What is the coolest thing you get to do at work?
I enjoy being able to help the customer figure out the best way to produce a short-run project.
What makes you want to come to work every day?
The challenge of something new every day. I also enjoy the people that I work with.
What would you be doing if you were not at work?
I would either be coaching basketball or cheering my kids compete in athletic events. I also enjoy spending time with my family.
If you were meeting a new customer and are working on a project for them, what would you like them to know about you?
I am going to get your project done in a timely manner and I will pay attention to all the fine details.
What is one piece of advice you’d give to a person who is looking for help on how to deal with our current times, with regard to your area of expertise?
We will try to get your project printed and delivered on time. You may need to be flexible if we are unable to get all the paper or other materials that are needed to produce your project.
