During the award ceremony held on Jan. 18, we were commended for our enduring commitment to excellence — a tradition that began over 87 years ago when Don Walsworth founded the company during the Great Depression in Marceline, Missouri. Today, under the stewardship of our second and third generations of family ownership, we continue to prioritize exceptional service, quality products, and a strong sense of community.
Milestone Achieved: State-of-the-Art Printing Press Installation
In January 2023, we achieved a significant milestone with the installation of a cutting-edge Goss M600 printing press at our Fulton location. This state-of-the-art press, delivered in 20 truckloads from Australia, exemplifies our commitment to operating in Fulton while improving efficiency and sustainability. The advanced technology not only reduces physical demands on our workers but also nearly doubles operations while minimizing waste.
Deep Roots in the Fulton Community
Walsworth has been an integral part of the Fulton community since 2012, following our acquisition of The Ovid Bell Press, established in Fulton in 1927. Our substantial growth over the years has solidified our leadership position in the printing industry, ranking as the 29th largest printer in North America and holding the third position for both magazine and book printing, according to Printing Impressions. We credit this success to the unwavering support of our valued customers and the dedication of our employees.

Walsworth is a top-five book and magazine printer, a catalog printer, and the only family-owned printer of yearbooks. Started in 1937 by Don Walsworth, current leadership is under the second and third generations: Don O. Walsworth, CEO, and his son, Don Walsworth, president. The company operates from administrative offices and book printing and binding facilities in Marceline, Missouri; a prepress facility in Brookfield, Missouri; a sales and marketing office in Overland Park, Kansas; and magazine and catalog printing facilities in Saint Joseph, Michigan; Ripon, Wisconsin; and Fulton, Missouri. Additionally, we own the Donning Company Publishers, a specialty book publisher.
