Hannah Gist
Yearbook Sales Representative, New Orleans, Louisiana
As a Yearbook Sales Representative, I play a key role in shaping and preserving memories for students and schools. I inspire creativity by guiding my customers in designing unique yearbooks that capture the spirit of their communities. Encouraging them to be bold, I help schools push the boundaries of tradition to create something memorable.
I am going into my sixth year working with Walsworth. I grew up in the classroom, helping my aunts set up their classrooms in the summer and pretending to be like my grandmother, a principal, during playtime. I love the environment I get to work in and the people I choose to see each day.
My favorite part about this job is feeling like I belong to each of my schools’ families. They are more than customers, they are friends. It amazes me to watch the progression of a book coming to life.
My personalized coffee mug would say: “No rain, no flowers.”
I want to come to work every day to ensure I meet deadlines, solve problems, provide consistent support and foster strong relationships, making my customers feel valued and understood throughout the yearbook creation process.
A fun fact about me is that during the summer of 2022, I received my Master Gardener certification. My passion is to restore native plants and restore ecosystems for our pollinators and migratory species.
Walsworth has given me a career that I feel confident will carry me through many years to come.
One of my favorite memories of working at Walsworth was this year when I got to participate in a book club with a customer on the same day yearbooks were distributed. The book club was special because the girls were discussing The Divine Secrets of the Yaya Sisterhood, which happens to be about my grandmother and friends growing up in Alexandria, Louisiana.
