Ann Dorrell
Computer Support, Brookfield, MO
I work in the computer support department in the Brookfield plant. I help advisers, reps and students every day with questions they have when creating their yearbooks.
I have approximately 19 years in the printing industry, all at Walsworth. I started with Walsworth in 1999. My first job was in desktop production. I have held previous positions in several areas in yearbook and commercial prepress as well as worked in the bindery and cover departments. I left Walsworth for a few years, but I’m glad to be back!
I love being a part of the printing industry. The new technology happening daily is fun to be a part of. The thing I love most about my job is working with students and advisers, showing them new ways to utilize our software daily.
My personalized coffee mug would say “Be The Reason Someone Smiles.”
What makes me want to come to work every day are the people I work with and the customers – they are like family.
A fun fact about me is I come from a big “Terrell” family. I am the middle child, number 6 of 11. I have five brothers and five sisters.
I have three daughters: Ashley, Darcy and Kenzey. I also have two grandkids: Kyler and Kailyn.
Some of my hobbies include playing four point pitch, hunting with my hunting buddies, side by side rides and hanging out with my family and friends.
Walsworth has contributed to my future by giving me the ability to go back to school and obtain a degree. Walsworth also gives back to the community through the Community Chest. They also support our schools through scholarships and several fundraisers.
I have met amazing co-workers along the way and have fond memories with all of them. I especially remember the ones that aren’t with us today. Some of them truly have shown me how to be who I am today!
