Todd Wilson
Bindery – Marceline, Missouri
At Walsworth, my current job is taking care of the covers and getting them to the casing in lines. My previous jobs were bundling storage in the Marceline plant, the computer room in Brookfield and as janitor in Brookfield.
In simple terms, my job involves keeping track of all the covers that come from the cover department, logging them in and then retrieving them as needed to each one of the casing in lines. If I’m not busy doing my particular job, usually during the slower part of the year, I get to go to different machines and work on their lines. I enjoy learning the process of putting a book together.
I have been with Walsworth for 35 years, as of April 15, 2023.
My family includes my two kids. My son works in the same plant as me. I wanted to work at Walsworth because I had family here.
Walsworth has contributed to my future by allowing me to work and live in the same town. I’m glad to see how much it’s grown in the years I’ve been here.
I don’t drink coffee, but if I had a personalized coffee mug, I guess it would say “Overtime? Yes!” I like working overtime. I try to volunteer for all that I can get.
What I love most about my job is the people I work with. They sure make the hard days go by faster.
A fun fact about me is I have a retirement countdown clock on my phone. The people I work with know about it.
When I’m not at work, I enjoy preparing for deer season with my son and riding my Harley.
A favorite memory at Walsworth was when the people I work with threw me a going-away and coming-home party for my two overseas deployments with the military.
