Destiny Hancock
Customer Service Representative – Marceline, Missouri
At Walsworth, I am a Commercial Customer Service Representative. I talk with customers and help guide their projects through the plant.
I previously worked in Bindery for 2.5 years as a Tech 3, running small machines and a couple of big ones! I’ve been at Walsworth a total of four years!
In my day-to-day work, I have lots of contact with the customers, whether it be on the phone or through email. I fill out paperwork with all of the book/magazine specs in order to get the job started. I help guide and watch the projects go through the plant to completion.
I wanted to work at Walsworth because I love to read! Now that I’m a CSR, I love to watch new projects come in and see what they will be about!
What I love most about my job is watching the projects go through from start to finish. Pretty cool watching people’s ideas and art come to life!
If I had a personalized coffee mug at work, it would say “You don’t have to be crazy to work here. We will train you!”
I come to work every day because I know the customers depend on me to keep track of where their project is and how it’s going.
A fun fact about me is I’m a HUGE Harry Potter fan and have been since the first grade.
About my family: My boyfriend, Clay, also works here and is a Lead in Sewing in the Bindery. I have an 8-year-old son named Royce. I have four pets! They are a dog named Axel, two cats named Hex and Lucifer, and a Bearded Dragon named Bellatrix.
When I’m not at work, I love to spend time with my family, snuggle with my kitties, binge watch TV and try new food recipes. My son races dirt bikes, so we also love to go watch him during racing season.
Walsworth has been an amazing company to grow in. I look forward to working here for years to come and learning new things.
I give back to my community by doing lots of local shopping and supporting small businesses. My goal is to volunteer more this year to help keep the community litter free and to help at the local humane society.
A favorite memory I have at Walsworth is hiding rubber ducks for the Fun Committee “Duck Hunt.” Everyone really loved looking for them and it made me happy seeing them have so much fun.
any of them friends. I am inspired by how the people I work with rally together whenever anyone needs help.
