Alyssa Black
Customer Service Representative, Brookfield, Missouri
My current role is Customer Service Representative at Walsworth – Brookfield. I help Sales Reps and advisers across the country create their yearbooks by answering questions ranging from how to use the program to the best wording for captions. I previously worked in QRT and School Store helping parents order their yearbooks and ads. Our end goal is to help create a unique book that students can keep for a lifetime.
I have worked in the printing industry for 2 years, all with Walsworth. I heard through the grapevine that Walsworth was a really nice place to work because the employees were treated so well. My husband worked for Walsworth before me and also swayed me to put in the application!
My favorite part of my job, and what I think is the coolest part, is when I get to meet our Sales Reps and customers in person. I have schools ranging from Washington to Maine, down to Florida, and I enjoy coming to work daily to provide them with the best customer service!
My personalized coffee mug would say: “Kind of a Big Dill” With Pickle Rick on it.
What makes me want to come to work every day is the connections I have made with coworkers and schools.
A fun fact about me is if you see cow print or sunflowers, you know I am around! I enjoy horseback riding and scrolling on TikTok with occasional reading. I am very much always on the go if I can be, sitting drives me crazy!
My husband, Tyler, works in the IT department at Walsworth. We have two little boys; Merlin, who is two-and-a-half years old, and Weylin, who just turned four. We also have a mixed-breed dog named Apollo.
I am thankful for Walsworth because it brought me to Brookfield; the place where my kids will start school and where I have met many people. My goal is to be more involved in the community here over the years.
My favorite memories of working at Walsworth are any time Jeff Bell shows up – it is a great time for sure.
