I work with our customers to provide cost effective plans to reduce postage and distribution costs.
How long have you worked at Walsworth?
I have worked in our plant for 19 years in a number of different capacities — six to be exact!
What made you start working at Walsworth?
I was an intern at Walsworth-Saint Joseph, then known as IPC, while attending Western Michigan University. I moved into a full-time position after graduating. I wanted to find a fulfilling career in the area. But I also wanted a company that valued people. Walsworth was all of that.
What is the coolest thing you get to do at work?
Every day I come in and get to work with an awesome team. They truly strive to be the best. They are great listeners, communicators. They work together to create plans that improve the workflow and experiences of our customers. I’m blessed to get to be part of such a great team.
What makes you want to come to work every day?
I enjoy coming in every day because each day is different. There are always new problems to solve, and new things to learn. I also enjoy getting the opportunity to interact with my fellow employees and customers.
What would you be doing if you were not at work?
If I’m not at work, I’m with my family. You can find me spending time with my wife, or watching my kids play sports.
Pretend I’m a customer and you are working on a project for me. What would you like me to know about you?
I will do whatever it takes to solve your problem. But I won’t do it alone. I’m fortunate enough to not have to rely entirely upon myself to make our project successful. We have a great staff that will work towards a common goal to turn our customers vision into reality.
What does working at Walsworth mean to you?
Working at Walsworth is a rewarding experience each day. Working at Walsworth means that I get the opportunity to help customers overcome obstacles — and I get to work with an awesome team to make that happen.
What is one piece of advice you’d give to a person who is looking for help on how to deal with our current times, with regard to your area of expertise?
Mail and freight delivery has been difficult during this time and has impacted many of our customers. I think it’s important to continually communicate and provide feedback. Let us work for you. We bring experience and work with many different experts within our industry to provide insight during these uncertain times.
