Careers – Interaction Designer

Walsworth, the 29th largest printer in the United States and only American family-owned yearbook company, seeks a talented, experienced Interaction Designer to join our small but mighty Innovation Team in our Overland Park, Kan., office.

The successful applicant will craft effective, responsive application designs for all types of computer devices, from mobile screens to Chromebooks and desktop PCs. Most of our cloud-based product suite aids the production of yearbooks in primary and secondary schools, colleges and universities, which allows our team unfettered rein to tackle page design, photo management, process facilitation, finances, and new, playful expansions to the yearbook tradition for this Internet age.

Our team is respected and empowered to drive the user experience. The specifications and design created by the team get built via a tightly coupled, collaborative partnership with our Sales, Marketing, Customer Service and Technology departments. Applicants must have at least two years’ experience in professional interaction design and a four-year degree in a related field. Working familiarity with responsive design is a plus. Portfolio required prior to interview.
